Connected the monitor to an USB power supply with 5.2 V, 2.1 A output. The LED lit up white (very bright) and now the monitor isn't sending data or recognized anymore on my computer.

Hmmm was it original charger or some clone (sometimes they give out more)
Was it working well before ? Recognized, you mean.. Serial port is not detected? I will send you tomorrow a new main board for free

It is a kind of an original charger. I bought it for my Raspberry Pi 2, this needs a pretty steady supply. So I thought, maybe it works fine for the monitor also... Too bad it didn't. Indeed it is not recognized as an device on my computer.

i also believe i have one here fried, at least not responding as well. I just haven't yet found time to debug and see what happened to it... let's hope soon i will check it.
