RE: RF Connectivity - admin - 01-12-2017 hmmm, i am not sure you have enabled the Rfxmeter protocol in Rfxcom right? usually when the device dumps this MQTTDest::process] [RFDest::process] [ready >] right after RFDest it sends all the values listed above (each 700ms one value) and it takes a couple of seconds. this is when you should receive them. what you can check is to open the device - the RF sensor is in the small compartment - and check if some wire didn't disconnect while i was assembling it up to now i test them before assembly and them put them together. but it is possible that some wire has disconnected i will post also a photo how the connections should be (if in case some wire got disconnected after i tested, and then i connected them wrongly) also some of those modules need to have all their solder joints reheated with the soldering iron. if you you have one you can try. i do it on the ones that do not work, but it may be that one that worked, was only working temporarily. if you do not have- i will send you a new module RE: RF Connectivity - nethenic - 01-12-2017 Hi, thank you for your fast response ! I disassembled the case and saw that the RF antenna was touching the coils of the RF module, I put everything back in place, and hurray, it works! Thank you for your help, and especially congratulations for what you created, it's really great! (I recommended your work to my colleagues of the IoT « fablab » of SNCF (nationals French Railways), who have been very impressed - you may have a few orders ) Happy holidays! RE: RF Connectivity - admin - 01-13-2017 ahhhh great ! and thanks for explaining the problem i will take care to assemble them with more caution RE: RF Connectivity - wokkelp - 02-15-2017 Hi Vladimir, I was able to recieve data through RF 433 but somehow after a while it stopped updating even though it still updated through http. I have no clue what the value fields are for in the RF 433/315 option menu... Even though I read something about it in this topic, I still have no clue. Output: Quote:---Sending data--- Because you asked someone to open up his device I did that too, to see if everything was connected properly. As soon as I lifted off the larger plate I noticed that the green and yellow wire were pierced by one of the screws... The RF module did work so I have no idea what the impact actually is, but the green and yellow wire might shortcircuit because the insulation is also damaged. Can you give me some advice? + enlarge. Also, side note, what is the CO2R value? and, come to think of it, what is the button on the device for? RE: RF Connectivity - admin - 02-16-2017 ahhh so unfortunate! didn't imagine this could happenn it may be that this has affected the wires at some point of time i can send you a set of new wires and a new rf sensor, just i case i still have sold just 20-30 from them so i am not quite sure of their reliability, might be that 1-2% fail at some point of time (since ~ 5% are DOA) CO2R is the RAW value from the CO2 sensor, and CO2 is with a bit of averaging, as the raw values seem to jump by some ppms up and down RE: RF Connectivity - wokkelp - 02-16-2017 (02-16-2017, 03:18 AM)admin Wrote: ahhh so unfortunate! RE: RF Connectivity - admin - 02-16-2017 yeah.. this is how they look like in the center is 5v RE: RF Connectivity - wokkelp - 02-16-2017 I found out that I couldn't switch on my lights etc. (they also work on 433 Mhz). When I unplugged the vAir monitor the lights were switchable again. I think the cable is causing a short circuit making it constantly transmitting. Could you send the replacement (+cable) like you offered? RE: RF Connectivity - admin - 02-16-2017 yeah... i will send on monday just what was your full name )? RE: RF Connectivity - vbs - 02-25-2017 Please where can I find documentation about the protocol which is used to encode the RF messages? I am receiving for example such a message "0x0a71001e867600010bf879" and I want to decode it. Thanks! |
