Every night of the Stanley Cup playoffs, TSN hockey analyst and former NHL goaltender Jamie McLennan breaks down each goalies performance. Jamies number grades given are out of five, with five being the best mark. Jonathan Quick, Los Angeles Kings (3) – Quick had a couple good saves early on Patrick Sharp and Brandon Saad. First goal was a give-and-go quick play that Patrick Kane forehanded blocker side on a one-timer. The second one is a smart play by Ben Smith to bank it off Quick. Great save on a 2-on-0 where Sharp had an open net backdoor. He showed his agility and edge work a lot tonight. Huge save on Nick Leddy early in the third period to keep it at 2 to 1. He was screened on the Duncan Keith goal by Saad in front and was beaten short side. The game-winning goal was a seeing eye shot that goes short side through a screen by Andrew Shaw. Corey Crawford, Chicago Blackhawks (4) – Crawford had good saves early on Tanner Pearson and Jeff Carter. The goal by Dwight King is a quick play that comes from behind the net and it beats him five-hole. Big saves in the second period on Carter, Tyler Toffoli and Marian Gaborik, to keep it close. He was the story in the second period for the Hawks, as he battled to keep the lead. Drew Doughtys goal was a screen shot with Mike Richards in front. The save of the game was when he robbed Anze Kopitar with the glove. Alec Martinez beats him five-hole through traffic, then saves his best work for the dying seconds as he battled to keep the puck out as the Kings pressed hard to get the equalizer.
